I spent Fall 2002 as a research assistant to William Conway and it was that collaboration that shaped DESI 4050: Map City. The course was made available in Spring 2003 and I was the Teaching Assistant to Professor Conway. Throughout the semester, I was given the opportunity to develop course assignments that had taken initial shape the previous semester. The following pages describe each assignment, pairing them with an example of student work. next
