Summer 2004
Six firms were invited to install work at the United States Pavilion for the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennale. Called "Transcending Type," the exhibition explored overlooked building types with each firm assigned to a type:
Shopping Center - George Yu Architects
Apartment Tower - Kolatan/MacDonald Studio
Sports Stadium - Studio/Gang/Architects
Spiritual Space - Predock Frane
Highway Interchange - Reiser + Umemoto
Parking Garage - Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis
LTL was given the courtyard space, shown here in a photo taken during the 2002 installation of wreckage from the World Trade Center.
