  Freshman Seminar 1 & 2
An undergraduate course at Parsons The New School For Design

This introductory, year-long course explores the multiple modes and roles of photography, including the relationship between form and concept and the potentialities of the medium. In a supportive atmosphere students are encouraged to embrace creative risk and tackle aesthetic concerns as they refine their technical craft. Students will learn both traditional and digital image capture and output and work in both black & white and color. Weekly assignments, lectures, critiques, field trips, and written assignments will further the students understanding of picture making possibilities.
